Mendeley is a free-to-use reference management tool. With Mendeley you can store, organize, share, and cite your references and research data. Mendeley can also automatically create a bibliography in your chosen citation style.
You can use Mendeley with your browser or with the help of software that you download and install on your computer. The following software tools are available:
More information about compatability with different word processing software and operating systems can be found here: https://service.elsevier.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/18117/p/16075/supporthub/mendeley/related/1/
The software used to be called Mendeley Desktop, but this version is no longer updated and can not be downloaded.
To use Mendeley you need an Elsevier account. Register a new account at www.mendeley.com/join. It works with any email address. If you already have an Elsevier account, e.g. from using ScienceDirect, it is best to use the same account. Once you are logged in, you have access to storage space for saving references and PDF files in your Mendeley library.
Mendeley is free to use and you can create an account free of charge. There is also a Premium version, but Arcada Library does not offer access to the licensed version.
