You will receive an e-mail or notification in Tuudo when the book you have requested has arrived. Pick up books at the library information desk. Reserved books are kept on hold for 3 working days. If you have reserved a book you no longer need, you can cancel the reservation. It is important that you check your e-mail not to miss e-mails sent from the library.

As a student in Helsinki you have access to many different libraries around the city and region, both public libraries and university libraries. Arcada Finna can help you find a book not available in the Arcada library but available in other libraries.

Some of the information sources provided by the library are of open access and available to everyone, while some are licensed and only available to the students and staff at Arcada. The electronic resources are available in the network of Arcada university or through remote access. Enter your personal Arcada user ID and password as this Arcada inlog window pops-up on your screen, to access the licensed resources on remote.
E-books are digitized books that can be read on a computer, mobile or e-book reader. Arcada’s e-books are available on several platforms. Note that the selection and user agreements of the different platforms differ from each other. You access all e-books and find instructions for using them in the Libguide for e-books.
The tutorial below will help you get started with searching for scientific articles published electronically. In Arcada Finna, always use the name of the journal as search phrase when searching for a specific journal article.
