Mendeley and Zotero are the two reference managers we at Arcada recommend. With them you can store, organize, share, and cite your references and research data. They can also automatically create a bibliography in your chosen citation style. The two reference managers are pretty similar, and you only have to use one of them. Try them out to see which one you prefer!
A reference manager is a big help when writing academically. It'll take awhile to learn how to use a reference manager, but that invested time you'll get back once everything's up and running and the manager does all your reference managing for you!
Even though the reference managers usually work without issues, they sometimes make mistakes. Remember that ultimately, you are responsible for ensuring your references are correct. You have an obligation to manually review all your references before submitting your text.
